A local charity that helps children affected by cancer is bringing family fun to the Co Down countryside over the August bank holiday weekend.

Families from across North Down and Ards are being encouraged to visit nearby Delamont Country Park in Killyleagh, which will play host to the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children’s Lazy Daisy Family Fun Day on Saturday, August 23.

Entertainment will include face painting, balloon modelling, an inflatable assault course, craft stalls and other traditional outdoor favourites. Mums and dads can relax to the sounds of jazz in the beautiful surroundings overlooking Strangford Lough with burgers and refreshments on sale for those who have worked up an appetite!

The Lazy Daisy Fun Day runs from 12noon until 4pm. Admission costs £6 per person with children under 12 allowed in for free. This includes parking which can be paid on entry to Delamont Country Park.
