The first major Gerard Dillon exhibition in 40 years is at the Clandeboye Estate, Bangor, until August 29.
Curated by Adams, this is the first major Gerard Dillon exhibition in over 40 years. All the works are on loan and, although nothing is for sale, it is of particular interest because it spans Dillon's career, his art, various influences on his work and, helping to put it in context, the art of his friends.
This is the fourth in a series of museum-quality exhibitions and contains around 70 works by the Belfast-born painter and his friends. Many of the works have been drawn from private collections across Ireland and helps us to form a picture of the man, his life and how his close friendships influenced his work.
