Local houses burgled

Police in south Belfast are appealing for information following a burglary in the early hours of Saturday, August 7, in the Donnybrook Street area.

Entry to the property was via an unlocked door and a number of items were taken including a black Advent laptop and a black I-Pod Touch.

In an earlier incident, a house in the Delhi Street area was burgled in the early hours of Tuesday August 3.

Entry to the property was via an unlocked door and a number of items were taken including a gold watch, a gold bracelet and a sum of cash. Anyone who may have noticed unusual activity in either area, or who may have been offered similar goods for sale in suspicious circumstances, is asked to contact detectives in Musgrave Street on 0845 6008000 or Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555111.
