The second annual Laganscape photography competition again “proved difficult to judge” with so many submitted entries “being of the highest calibre”.

The themes of, ‘the natural world and ‘heritage & art’ allowed budding photographers unlimited scope for exploring Lagan Valley Regional Park during its changing seasons.

Ricky McQuillan local photographer and judge of the competition, said: “The quality of this year’s images was excellent and choosing the winners was a difficult task. The subjects chosen showed a real understanding of the Regional Park’s special qualities.”

The winners were announced last Saturday (November 20) and the exhibition will be on display in the Lock Keeper’s Visitor Centre until the New Year.

The exhibition is supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund, and will eventually be on show at other locations throughout the Lagan Valley.
