Shane’s Castle Steam Rally cancelled

People from Belfast planning to visit the Shane’s Castle May Day Steam Rally are advised that it has been cancelled this year.

The event, traditionally held on the Sunday and Monday of the May Day bank holiday, had to be called-off due to delays in the completion of a major pipeline project running through Shane’s Castle Estate.

The organisers are very disappointed that the rally has been cancelled this year due to factors over which they had no control.

However, they are already looking forward to next year’s event on Sunday, May 2 and Monday, May 3 2010.
