Love letter to Liverpool with heart on its sleeve

John Graham Davies’ love letter to Liverpool, told through the eyes of football fan Kenny and his beloved team, takes us through the recent history of the city via the European Champions League.
The centre of the show comes from a true-life anecdote about Reds fan Mark Radley, who found himself shouting on his team while drinking champagne beside Silvio Berlusconi.
Hard-working actor Paul Duckworth puts in a tremendous performance as Kenny and all the characters in his life.
Using his considerable talents and a projection screen, he takes us on a journey down memory lane from triumph to tragedy — Liverpool’s first European cup, Heysel, Joe Fagan’s treble, Hillsborough.
The show slowly builds to its climax in Turkey, where Liverpool look as though they’ve chucked away their chance of a fifth European Cup, and Milan are 3-0 up at half time.
Here's a play that wears its heart on its sleeve and explains a city, and a performance that will leave a smile on your face.
