Eateries eager to taste success at Restaurant of the Year Awards

The best restaurant and chef in Ulster will be announced at an awards ceremony later this month.

The shortlists for the 12th Food & Wine magazine Restaurant of the Year Awards, in conjunction with wine agent Louis Latour, have just been released and reveal culinary talent based in Belfast and Co Down dominate the Ulster category.

The best restaurant and best chef from each county in |Ireland will receive regional awards before the final announcement of the overall Restaurant of the Year and Chef of the Year is made.

Other award categories include Best Sommelier, Best Service, and Best Wine Experience.

Ross Golden-Bannon, Food & Wine magazine editor, said: “The obvious stars are there, but there are some exciting new talents doing radical things with our food culture and traditions.”
