Game of Thrones has made the Guinness Book of Records for the largest TV drama simultaneous broadcast.

This comes after episode two of season five was broadcast in 173 countries at the same time.

Actress Maisie Williams (18) , who plays Arya Stark in the hit fantasy show filmed in Northern Ireland, picked up the award on behalf of the show.

"So pleased for Game of Thrones to be a part of Guinness World Records," she said.

"I'm not going to tell my stepbrother as he gets the book every year for Christmas.

"I can't wait to see the look on his face!"

The Guinness World Records 2016 is out on September 10.
