Holywood-born star tipped for Neeson action hero role
This is the actor who will need a very particular set of skills to take on the role made famous by Liam Neeson.
Vikings actor Clive Standen has reportedly been cast as a younger version of action hero Bryan Mills for an NBC TV series.
Standen (34) was born in Holywood, Co Down and grew up in England's East Midlands.
The NBC show will follow CIA operative Mills in his early years and give the audience an insight into how he acquired his deadly expertise.
Those abilities led to Taken's most famous quote, spoken by Neeson.
"I don't have money... but what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career; skills that make me a nightmare for people like you."
The pilot episode of the series will reportedly be directed by Alex Graves of Game of Thrones and Homeland from a script penned by Homeland writer Alexander Carry.
The original Taken in 2008 was a huge hit, with sequels in 2012 and 2014.
It catapulted Neeson into the ranks of Hollywood's top earners.
