Movie sequels that went one too far
This summer Disney-Pixar's Toy Story 3 has received undoubtedly sparkling reviews. For younger viewers, it retained the magic of a world where toys come alive.
For those who could remember the first film from way back in 1995, there was nostalgia - and a look at Andy fifteen years on as he prepares to leave for university.
For those of you who have not yet seen it, we won't ruin the ending, but can guarantee that there are certainly a few tear-jerking moments. It is, undeniably, a successful 'three-quel'.
Unfortunately, not all third films take the same path often leaving viewers dissatisfied with the bland and unpredictable storylines, boring characters and settings that are far from innovative. With studios looking to cash in on a hackneyed franchise that really should have been ditched after the second film.
