Acting 'a drug' for Jessica Alba

Jessica Alba has admitted she is addicted to acting.

The Sin City star revealed acting is like a drug for her and enables her to step into other people's shoes, according to US reports.

She told Nylon magazine: "It's been liberating to be able to play someone who's a bad**s or promiscuous because that's the opposite of who I am... It's like a drug."

The mother-of-two also said playing other people lets her experience something outside of her real life for a while.

"I don't have to be a boss; I don't have to be a wife; I don't have to be a sister," said Jessica.

But the 32-year-old hinted that she hasn't always been comfortable with stepping out of her comfort zone.

"Before, I was so fearful of failure and judgment that I was scared to put myself out there," she said.

But the actress explained she has since discovered that "you don't have to be a robot, you don't have to be appropriate all the time".
