Acting prize for Ewan McGregor

Ewan McGregor picks up his acting award in Spain

Ewan McGregor has become the youngest person ever to be awarded a top acting prize in Spain.

The 41-year-old Haywire actor was presented with the Donostia Lifetime Achievement Award at the San Sebastian International Film Festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Speaking at the event, he said: "It was amazing arriving and feeling the wave of love from Spanish film-goers. Thank you."

Ewan follows in the footsteps of big screen stars such as Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Meryl Streep and Woody Allen, who have also received the award.

The actor was at the festival to present his new film The Impossible, which is about a family that survived the 2004 tsunami in Thailand.

The pay will be excellent and there will be a lot of fringe benefits, too. Don't talk about a neighbour's private life in mixed company.More
