Rising star Nicola Peltz is set to join Mark Wahlberg in Transformers 4.
The 18-year-old actress, who has appeared in The Last Airbender and Deck The Halls, has been cast as Mark's screen daughter in the fourth instalment of the shape-shifting robot films.
It had been rumoured that Megan Fox could reprise her role in the fourth film, following her starring role in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot, but director Michael Bay tweeted: "No. Female lead has been cast... Nicola Peltz."
Acting newcomer Jack Reynor has also signed on to play her racecar-loving boyfriend in the fourth film in the franchise.
Michael - who is back in the directing seat after taking the reins for the last three films - has already said Transformers 4 will feature a new cast and will be a "redesign" from the previous movies.
"To freshen the franchise we've redesigned everything from top to bottom. The history of the first three movies is still there, we start four years later and there's a reason why we're meeting a new cast," he said.
"There's a reason the Transformers are redesigned. We're trying to broaden the franchise and give it more places to go."
Transformers 4 is scheduled for release in 2014.
