Adam Sandler is to star in black comedy Hello Ghost.

The film is a remake of a Korean movie about a man who finds himself haunted by four ghosts who want his help.

Chris Columbus, director of the Home Alone and Harry Potter And The Chamber of Secrets is attached to direct, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The original South Korean movie was written and directed by Kim Yeong-tak. It follows a man who tries to kill himself, only to find himself plagued by four ghosts who insist that he help them amend their past before they leave him in peace.

Adam will produce through his Happy Madison company and Chris will also produce through his 1492 Pictures.

Adam is currently filming Blended, his third rom com with Drew Barrymore, which is due out next year.
