Amy Adams has revealed that she was a bit anxious before shooting her scenes with Russell Crowe on Man Of Steel.
The Oscar-nominated actress portrays Lois Lane in Zack Snyder's superhero movie, with Russell as Superman's biological father Jor-El.
"I was really nervous to work with Russell," she admitted.
"Every time you're working with someone that you have known for years and years and has such a reputation as a fine actor, you want to do a good job. He was very helpful because I had to do some of my action stuff with him and he was very helpful when I needed help."
The 39-year-old added: "It was good because Lois doesn't have to look like she's ever held a laser gun before so it works. That was really fun."
Amy said watching her performance back on the big screen was "overwhelming".
"It's overwhelming for me the first time and I got to see it again at the premiere. The second time through was a lot more fun because I was able to see it with an audience and the first time I only saw it, was with two other people in the room," she recalled.
"It was great, not only the energy from the screen, seeing all the effects and everything so huge and large but to be able to experience the energy of a crowd. It very much transformed it into theatre for me because you were able to feel people invested in the film and just blown away," she added.
Man Of Steel is available now on Blu-Ray 3D, Blu-Ray, DVD and digital download.
