Alba takes a Barely Lethal role

Jessica Alba is set to star in Barely Lethal

Jessica Alba is set to play a villain in thriller Barely Lethal.

The Honey star is said to be joining Hailee Steinfeld and Samuel L Jackson in Kyle Newman's movie, reported Screen Daily.

Hailee is already on board to play Megan, a teenage assassin who is hunted by a former associate after she fakes her own death and decides to enrol in a suburban high school - and Jessica has been cast as baddie Victoria Knox, who pursues her.

Rush Hour director Brett Ratner will co-produce the film, which has been written by John D'Arco, with John Cheng.

Production is scheduled to start in mid-October.

Jessica, who previously starred in Spy Kids 4: All The Time In The World, will next star in sequels Sin City: A Dame To Kill For and Machete Kills.

The mother-of-two will also be in coming-of-age drama Dear Eleanor alongside Luke Wilson, action-comedy Stretch with Chris Pine and Patrick Wilson, and comedy mini-series The Spoils Of Babylon opposite Will Ferrell, Tim Robbins and Kristen Wiig.

Virgo:

It's difficult to deal with a highly competitive colleague. Every time you submit work, they try to find ways to outperform you. Although you have no interest in pitting your talent against theirs, this other person thinks very differently. Ignoring them won't be possible. A good way to disarm this pest is to invite them out for coffee. Describe what you've observed and ask for a truce. Irrational people are often thrown off balance when their behaviour is addressed in a direct manner.More
