Alicia Vikander is set to star in heist thriller Son Of A Gun.

The Swedish actress - who got her big break as Kitty in Anna Karenina last year - joins Ewan McGregor in the movie.

Brenton Thwaites and Jacek Koman have also been added to the cast, reports Variety.

The film follows the complex relationship between Ewan's public enemy number one character and his young protege, played by Brenton. Jacek will star as a crime boss in Julius Avery's movie, but it is not known who Alicia will play.

The 24-year-old actress has made a name for herself in the last year, with films including A Royal Affair and The Seventh Son.

She is a contender for this year's EE Bafta Rising Star Award, where she is up against Juno Temple, Andrea Riseborough, Elizabeth Olsen and Suraj Sharma. Voting is open to the public at ee.co.uk/bafta.

You will have to defer to others, which makes you anxious. There's never any problem when you're in control. You know how to act quickly and decisively. If you act like you don't care about the outcome of a situation, they won't be paralysed with uncertainty. You have a tendency to make people nervous.More
