Andrew Garfield is one of the actors Doug Liman is eyeing up for his untitled Moon film.
The Mr And Mrs Smith director has met with Andrew for one of the key roles, originally rumoured to be played by Jake Gyllenhaal, in his attempt to get the project off the ground, said The Hollywood Reporter.
Emile Hirsch and Chris Pine have also been approached for the male lead, while Rosario Dawson, Megan Fox, Rachel McAdams, Eva Mendes, Zoe Saldana and Olivia Wilde have auditioned for the female characters.

The film, once known as Luna, follows a renegade group of former space employees, led by an Eastern European woman. They travel the world, stealing space equipment in an attempt to go back to the moon to acquire an energy source.
Doug, who directed Swingers, The Bourne Identity and Jumper, recently helmed Fair Game starring Naomi Watts and Sean Penn.
