Anthony Hopkins: I'll play anything

Sir Anthony Hopkins says he always tries to 'find the fun' in any acting job

Sir Anthony Hopkins insists he's not got a penchant for playing creepy characters.

"I'll play anything," the legendary Welsh star insisted at the Hollywood premiere of his new thriller The Rite.

"If you give me a script and it's a good script, you know? I play God in Thor, no I don't have any preference one way or the other," he insisted.

In the movie Sir Anthony plays a priest actively practising exorcisms in Italy.

The 73-year-old said when it comes to acting he always tries to find the fun "in everything".

Speaking on the red carpet, he explained: "I have a great life, I have a wonderful life. I enjoy acting, they still seem to want me, I don't know how long that'll go [on] 'cause I'm getting on in years now, but if they offer me a film I'll do it if I feel I'm going to have a good time."

"I just worked with Kenneth Branagh, last year I worked with Woody Allen. I take it easy and enjoy my life, make sure the catering is good and the location is good!" he laughed.

The actor insisted making The Rite hasn't convinced him some people are haunted by the devil.

"I'm not an expert, I know very little about it but it was an interesting movie to make," he said.

Responsibilities involving insurance, inheritances and taxes will command your attention. Don't put these matters off a moment longer. You may be busy with work and family, but these duties will never let up. If you continue to spend all of your energy on these things, you'll miss a golden opportunity. Ask colleagues and relatives for help with mundane errands while you focus on the long term financial future. If you don't protect your economic interests, nobody else will.More
