Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to start work on a zombie film with a heart.

The former California governor has signed up to star in and produce scary movie Maggie, said The Hollywood Reporter.

Arnie will play the father of a girl who has been infected by a walking-dead virus that is spreading across the country.

Maggie, due to start production in the autumn, is the latest in a long line of projects that Arnie has lined up.

He stars in next year's action thriller Sabotage with Mireille Enos, as well as another action thriller, Escape Plan, alongside Sylvester Stallone, which is due out in October.

He'll also be in the third Expendables film and is returning to his most famous role for the fifth instalment of Terminator.
