Darren Aronofsky is apparently in talks to direct Wolverine 2.
The Black Swan director has met with executives at 20th Century Fox about being at the helm of X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2, Deadline reports.
Darren and 30 Days Of Night's David Slade were reported to be the two main competitors for the job in August, but Aronofsky already has a close relationship with Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, after directing him in The Fountain.
Now Deadline reports the The Wrestler director has met with Fox chief Tom Rothman "seeking the kind of creative control he's accustomed to".
Talks broke down briefly while Darren considered directing the new Superman film, but that job has now gone to Zack Snyder, so it awaits to be seen if he will be confirmed for Wolverine 2.
