Ashley Elliot out of Britain's Got Talent
A teenage xylophone player from Northern Ireland had his dreams of winning Britain’s Got Talent dashed last night after failing to win a place in the final.
Ashley Elliott, from Enniskillen, took to the stage competing against eight other acts in the third live semi-final.
The 17-year-old received three buzzes from the judges during his performance but comedian David Walliams described his performance as “pure joy”.
“I was loving it,” he said.
But Ashley was criticised by the other two judges, actress Amanda Holden and music mogul Simon Cowell.
Boy group Loveable Rogues and 11-year-old Molly Rainford were voted through to the live final on Saturday.
