Auction will clear out the Doctor Who Tardis

Monsters and villains which have sent generations of Doctor Who fans fleeing for the safety of the back of the sofa are going under the hammer this month.

Props and costumes worn by the likes of Kylie Minogue, Billie Piper and David Tennant are also included in the sale at Bonhams.

Daleks, a Sea Devil and several Cybermen have avoided extermination to make it to the sale room.

Among the highlights are Minogue's waitress costume — complete with bloomers — worn when she played Astrid Perth in the 2007 special Voyage Of The Damned. It could fetch £3,000.

Tenth Doctor Tennant's two-piece Paul Smith dinner suit is also valued at the same amount.

Stephanie Connell, entertainment memorabilia specialist at Bonhams said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to offer some of the most iconic costumes and props from the show.”

The sale takes place at Bonhams in Knightsbridge on February 24.
