The highly-anticipated Avengers movie Avengers Assemble is to be screened early for some Facebook fans in their hometowns.
The big screen comic book extravaganza stars Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L Jackson, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo and Jeremy Renner as superheroes Iron Man, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Thor, Captain America, The Hulk, and Hawkeye, who are uniting to save the world from villain Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston.
Disney's Marvel Studios has announced it will offer advance screenings around the world in cities where Avengers Assemble has gained the most fans on Facebook.
Early screenings will start with shows in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Houston and Miami on April 14, nearly three weeks before the film's May 4 US release date and admission will be free, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Five more cities will win advanced screenings of the film, directed by Buffy The Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon, and fans can campaign on the social networking site for their city to be one of those treated to a free preview.
