Bacon recreates Footloose dance

Kevin Bacon showed he still has the moves as he recreated some of the steps from his cult hit film Footloose on US TV.

The Following actor - who played the teen who got the town dancing in the 1984 movie - re-enacted a dance sequence when he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, to mark the movie's 30th anniversary.

The sequence started with Jimmy declaring that dancing is illegal, then Kevin was seen backstage stripping down to a white vest, before donning a maroon tuxedo and dancing through the corridors.

He then arrived on the stage and Jimmy joined him so they could boogie to the film's title song as confetti showered down from the ceiling.

Kevin, 55, made his name as Ren McCormack in Footloose and has previously admitted that he is often asked to show off his dancing.

Last year he revealed on the Conan show that he even bribes DJs at weddings not to play the Footloose song, because he doesn't want to take the focus off the bride and groom by reprising his famous moves.

He said: "I go to the disc jockey and hand him 20 dollars and say, 'Please don't play that song'. Because first off, a wedding is really not about me, it's about the bride and groom and it's embarrassing. It's awful. I try to avoid that if possible."
