Christian Bale has sparked speculation about his upcoming collaboration with Terrence Malick after they were seen at the Austin City Limits music festival together.
The Batman star - who has already been cast as the lead in Terrence's next film - and the reclusive filmmaker were seen alongside a camera crew at the Coldplay, Bright Eyes and Pretty Lights gigs, reported Collider.
Terrence - who lives in Austin - was also spotted talking to Christian and gesturing, as if he was giving him some acting directions in a video posted on the website.
The duo are slated to reunite for a mysterious and as-yet-untitled project that also has newcomer Haley Bennett on board.
The director had previously been working on a Jerry Lee Lewis-related project, and it is thought that this future film could potentially be a new version of that.
Christian has been filming the third and final instalment of Christopher Nolan's Batman series, The Dark Knight Rises, with Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy, while Terrence - who released The Tree Of Life this year - has been busy with another untitled project with Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams.
