Bale to work on Spike Lee film?

Christian Bale's first post-Batman film has wrapped

Christian Bale is in an enviable position, having been approached for a number of forthcoming films including Spike Lee's Oldboy remake.

The Oscar-winning star is currently completing The Dark Knight Rises, the final film in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, and won't make any decisions until he is done, reported Variety.

The actor has been offered the villain role in Oldboy, a part in Michael Mann's gangster thriller Big Tuna, Darren Aronofsky's Noah and Crazy Heart director Scott Cooper's next film Out Of The Furnace.

Christian - who won an Academy award for his performance in The Fighter - could also flex his vocal chords in Clint Eastwood's remake of musical A Star Is Born, which originally had Leonardo DiCaprio attached to the lead opposite Beyonce.

But his first post-Batman film has already wrapped, with The 13 Women Of Nanjing, directed by Zhang Yimou, scheduled to open in US cinemas later this year.
