Liam Neeson is set to star as General Douglas MacArthur in a Korean War epic being filmed in South Korea.

While it's likely that Operation Chromite will be shot in Korean, it's not yet clear if the Ballymena action star will be learning the language.

Operation Chromite was the codename for the Battle of Incheon on September 15, 1950, shortly after the war started.

The surprise attack is recognised as a turning point for UN-backed South Korea against the communist North.

The £6m movie directed by John H Lee will focus on eight Korean war heroes, and is due to be released for next year's anniversary of the outbreak of the war on June 25, 2016.
