Bartha joins musical film CBGB

Justin Bartha is being linked to a role in CBGB

Justin Bartha is to play a punk rocker in upcoming musical biopic CBGB.

The 33-year-old US actor - who is best known for the Hangover and National Treasure films - has been cast as the late Stiv Bators, frontman of 70s band The Dead Boys, reports Deadline.

The film is about the famed New York punk club and already boasts an impressive cast including Rock Of Ages star Malin Akerman as Blondie frontwoman Debbie Harry.

Harry Potter stars Rupert Grint and Alan Rickman will play The Dead Boys guitarist Cheetah Chrome and venue owner Hilly Kristal respectively, while Twilight's Ashley Greene will play Kristal's daughter.

Mickey Sumner is in the running to play Patti Smith in Randall Miller's film and it's thought that Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins could be playing Iggy Pop.

CBGB is scheduled to start shooting later this month in Savannah, Georgia, before moving to New York.

Virgo:

Read the fine print on a contract. If you're not happy with the proposed terms of a deal, renegotiate. Don't be afraid to drive a hard bargain. You may not realise it, but you have a great deal of power. People are willing to pay good money for someone with your intelligence and experience. If you undersell yourself, you will set a dangerous precedent. Someone will ask you to do something that goes against your conscience. Obey your principles, even if it means making an enemy.More
