Batman shoot could confuse locals
Emergency dispatchers in the US are preparing to take calls from Pittsburgh residents who may be unprepared for fake gun shots, explosions and other mayhem while the latest Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises films at various city locations.
The film has received mammoth publicity in the local media, but Allegheny County emergency management spokesman Raymond DeMichiei has told local TV that some people may be puzzled by some sights and sounds.
He told residents: "If you hear shots fired or a disturbance or gunfire... call 911 and report it and we'll figure it out."
Traffic is also expected to be affected as some streets will be closed for filming and crews will be putting down fake snow for some scenes.
British actor Christian Bale is currently reprising his role as the Caped Crusader for The Dark Knight Rises, which also stars Tom Hardy, Liam Neeson and Anne Hathaway.
