Batman to dominate Comic-Con 2014

Batman is to dominate at Comic-Con this summer - although there is no word on whether the new Batman v Superman movie will be making a surprise appearance.

Warner Bros and DC Entertainment have announced they will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Caped Crusader at the event, which begins in San Diego on July 23, with the original costumes worn by Christian Bale, George Clooney, Val Kilmer and Michael Keaton in the previous movies all on display.

An "all-star panel of Batman talent" is promised to appear at Comic-Con, but though director Zack Snyder announced the Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice movie, starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill at last year's convention, fans are being kept in suspense as to whether there will be a sneak peak of the film, which just began shooting in Detroit.

Warner Bros will be previewing The Hobbit: The Battle Of Five Armies, Mad Max: Fury Road - the remake starring Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy - and Jupiter Ascending.

The Wachowskis' original sci-fi action movie, starring Mila Kunis and Channing Tatum, had been due for release this summer, but has now been put back to February 2015.

The list of stars attending Comic-Con is yet to be announced. And fans are also being kept waiting to discover whether Disney will be bringing Star Wars: Episode VII to the event.
