Batman V Superman brought forward

The eagerly anticipated Batman V Superman movie will be unveiled earlier than planned.

Dawn Of Justice - starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill - was due to be released in May 2016, but has now been brought forward to March 25 of that year, according to reports.

The move means the film will not be going head-to-head with Captain America 3, which is due to open on May 6, 2016, the date originally earmarked for the Man Of Steel sequel.

Zack Snyder's movie, which has started filming, will see Henry return as Clark Kent/Superman and Ben take on Bruce Wayne/Batman.

It also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Bruce's butler Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles.
