Bean: No Boromir for The Hobbit

Sean Bean says he's not expecting a role in The Hobbit

Sean Bean isn't expecting a call from Peter Jackson to appear in The Hobbit.

The British actor played friend of the hobbits Boromir in The Lord Of The Rings film and although his character dies in the second film The Two Towers, director Peter has signed up several actors to reprise their roles in his prequel films who do not appear in JRR Tolkein's book.

But Sean said of returning: "I don't think so. I played Boromir and I got knocked off in the end so I don't think it would be... I mean I could come back as a different character but I think he's looking for a new kind of style and maybe a new look."

He added: "I know a few people who are in it and should be very exciting."

Sean is starring in a new fantasy series Game Of Thrones on HBO and appears in a new TV ad with the Quaker Oats So Simple Team rewarding the people who make a real difference to communities.
