Kate Beckinsale has insisted that her husband doesn't mind her filming steamy scenes with other actors.
The actress met US film director Len Wiseman on the set of the first Underworld film and the couple married in 2004.
She told Women's Health magazine that Len was relaxed about her taking on roles that meant getting intimate with other actors, as happened with Colin Farrell on a film Len directed, Total Recall.
"I've done it before on Underworld and Len was all right with it," she said.
Kate joked: "I think it was worse for Colin. It's awkward if you have to fondle the director's wife. Especially with Len saying, 'All right, that's it, you're fired'."
The actress said working with her husband, who also directed her in the first two Underworlds, has strengthened their relationship rather than tested it.
"Being separated for five or six months (working away on set) I think is worse," she said.
Kate jealously guards her privacy and was upset when the couple were photographed by paparazzi while on holiday after filming.
"It's a good thing we weren't in Europe or I'd be topless," she said.
