Ben Affleck is reportedly in talks to star in romantic drama Focus.
The Good Will Hunting actor-director is looking to sign on for Crazy Stupid Love filmmakers Glenn Ficarra and John Requa's upcoming film, reported Deadline.
A female lead is still being searched for. The directors had previously hoped to reunite former co-stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone for the lead roles.
The film tells the story of a veteran conman, who gets involved romantically with his sidekick, and "the complications of the encounter haunt them when they meet up again in the future".
Ben - who will appear at the London Film Festival for his political thriller Argo, which he stars in and directs - is also appearing in Terrence Malick's romantic drama To The Wonder and gambling drama Runner Runner.
