Bill Nighy joins Titans sequel

Bill Nighy joins the cast of Wrath Of The Titans

Bill Nighy, Rosamund Pike and Toby Kebbell are the latest stars to join the cast of Clash Of The Titans sequel Wrath Of The Titans.

Love Actually star Bill will play the fallen god Hephaestus, while Rosamund will replace Alexa Davalos in the role of Queen Andromeda, Variety reports.

Prince of Persia's Toby Kebbell will play Poseidon's demigod son, Argenor in the Warner Bros epic which is expected to start filming this month in Shepperton Studios and on location in Surrey, South Wales and Tenerife.

Sam Worthington reprise his role as Perseus in the film, alongside Ralph Fiennes as Hades and Liam Neeson as Zeus.

Edgar Ramirez will play Zeus' son Ares and Danny Huston will play water god Poseidon.

The story is set 10 years after the first film and sees Perseus trying to live life as a fisherman, until the Titans and the gods start to battle once more and he has to help rescue Zeus from the underworld.

Battle: Los Angeles director Jonathan Liebesman has taken over as director from Louis Leterrier who directed the original 3D film, which was critically panned and bombed at the box office.

Sam said last year: "I think the first one, we kind of let down some people.

"The only point of doing a sequel is either the audience demands it or you believe you can better the first one. What we're setting out to do with this one - the writers and the director and myself - is improve."
