Argo star Kerry Bishe has revealed she was shocked director Ben Affleck did not receive an Oscar nomination for the Iranian hostage flick.
However, the actress said Ben was already a winner, regardless of the snub from the Academy.
Speaking at the US-Ireland Alliance Oscar Wilde party in Los Angeles, Kerry said: "I think we were all shocked when he didn't get nominated, especially for this film.
"I don't understand how it gets nominated for Best Picture but not Best Director when it was so directed and relied so heavily on him and his vision."
Ben has already picked up a Golden Globe, a Screen Actors Guild award and a Bafta for his direction but was locked out of the category at the Academy Awards.
But Kerry said the mood would still be celebratory at the ceremony on February 24.
"I think he's already won, no matter what happens on Sunday. He made a fabulous movie."
