Black to star in Goosebumps film?

Jack Black looks set to star in the big screen adaptation of the Goosebumps books.

The Bernie actor is currently in negotiations for the film version of author RL Stine's bestselling children's horror series, reported The Wrap.

It isn't clear whether the movie would be based on one, or several, of the books.

Details of Jack's possible role haven't been confirmed, but insiders have said he would play a Stine-like author whose spooky characters literally jump off the page.

The film will be directed by Rob Letterman, who Jack previously worked with on Gulliver's Travels and Shark Tale.

Goosebumps is one of the most popular children's book series to date and has already spawned a TV series, video games and a stage play.
