Emily Blunt is the latest star to be linked to the upcoming Batman V Superman movie.

The British actress, who can currently be seen in cinemas alongside Tom Cruise in Edge Of Tomorrow, is tipped for a part in Dawn Of Justice, according to Spanish site El Multicine.

She is said to be close to signing up for the film.

Details of the role aren't known, but s ome sites have speculated that Emily, 31, could be up for the part of Catwoman.

The actress was previously said to be in the frame for roles in Iron Man 2 and Captain America: The First Avenger but would be making her superhero film debut if she does sign up for the Man Of Steel sequel.

Zack Snyder's movie, which has started filming, will see Henry Cavill return as Clark Kent/Superman and Ben Affleck take on Bruce Wayne/Batman.

It also stars Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Bruce's butler Alfred, and Holly Hunter in a role newly created for the film.

Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will also reprise their roles from Man Of Steel.

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice is set to open worldwide on May 6, 2016.
