Emily Blunt might be helping Tom Cruise battle aliens in a new movie.
The Devil Wears Prada actress is currently in talks about signing up to play a soldier in Cruise's sci-fi/war film All You Need Is Kill, according to Variety.
The movie - which was previously thought to be titled We Mortals Are - will see Mission Impossible star Cruise as a recruit who gets killed in action but, in a twist, he gets reborn each day to fight, and die, again and again.
Emily, 29, who can next be seen alongside Ewan McGregor in romantic tale Salmon Fishing In The Yemen, would play one of humankind's best soldiers.
The Warner Bros film is being directed by Doug Liman.
It is one of two sci-fi outings coming up for Cruise, 49, as he is also set to play the lead in Oblivion. The movie is set in an apocalyptic future, where people live above a ruined Earth which is patrolled by drones put there to fight off alien invasion.
