Bond back for December filming

James Bond is back, with the next instalment due to start filming in December.

Sam Mendes will direct the action film again and is booked in for a read through with the cast at Pinewood Studios on December 6, according to Bond fan website MI6.

Also returning for the 24th film in the franchise is Daniel Craig, who will play 007 again, as well as Ralph Fiennes as M, Naomie Harris as Eve Moneypenny, Rory Kinnear as Bill Tanner and Ben Whishaw as Q.

The writing team that were behind the last Bond film, Skyfall, will also return with John Logan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade penning the upcoming story.

Skyfall was the top grossing film in the series, selling the most tickets at the box office and DVDs and Blu-Rays when it was released. It also won Oscars for Adele's theme tune and for sound editing.

Bond 24 is due to be released in cinemas on October 23, 2015.
