Bonham Carter back as Red Queen

Helena Bonham Carter is poised to return as the evil Red Queen in the sequel to Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland.

Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska are already signed up to return as Alice and The Mad Hatter in the follow-up to Disney's 2010 billion-dollar blockbuster, which will be directed by The Muppets' James Bobin.

And now Helena is in final negotiations to reprise her role in the sequel, titled Through The Looking Glass, according to Variety.

It was recently reported that Sacha Baron Cohen was in "early talks" to play the villain of the film, called Time.

It is yet to be revealed whether other Alice In Wonderland stars such as Anne Hathaway and Alan Rickman, who played the White Queen and the Caterpillar, will reprise their roles.

Through The Looking Glass is said to be based on Lewis Carroll's own follow-up story, Through The Looking Glass And What Alice Found There, which sees the heroine on a race across a giant chess board in a bid to become a queen.
