Bosworth shines at Black Rock event

Kate Bosworth at the screening of Black Rock in LA

Kate Bosworth shimmered in silver at the Los Angeles premiere of her new film Black Rock.

The 30-year-old actress, who is engaged to director Michael Polish, showed off her svelte figure in a Prada dress with cut-out back, as she posed alongside co-stars Lake Bell and Katie Aselton at the ArcLight in Hollywood.

The trio star as childhood friends who find themselves having to fight for their lives after being reunited on a remote island in the horror thriller, which was directed by Katie from a screenplay written by her husband Mark Duplass.

"I can't imagine a more unglamorous set," Katie joked.

"I put two of the most glamorous girls in Hollywood on that set. We put dirt under our fingernails and didn't wash our hair. It was fun."

The actress-director admitted she wanted to make a thriller centred on feisty females.

"I longed to have like a Deliverance-esque thriller starring girls. I think that The Descent came very close to what I wanted to see. But I love a good strong woman," she said.

"And I'm not necessarily a feminist but I do love me a good woman who is not scared to be strong and physical and doesn't feel like she's compromising her sexuality in doing so - and uses her big-girl voice. I'm a little over the mousy librarian phase of chicks. I don't like that. I like me a good ballsy lady."

You feel optimistic and for good reason. An admirer has been trying to win your heart. All this attention is flattering. If you're single, keep playing hard to get. Dwelling on what might have been will just make you bitter. Take a risk. It's better to try and fail than be paralysed by fear.More
