Bourne back on our screens in 2015

Jeremy Renner's Bourne alter-ego Aaron Cross is set to be back on the big screen in summer 2015.

Universal has announced that the fifth instalment of the hit action movies will be out in the US on August 14, 2015, reported The Wrap.

The Oscar-nominated Hurt Locker star will reprise his role as CIA agent Aaron in the as-yet-untitled movie, which will be directed by Justin Lin.

Justin, who took the reins on the last four Fast And Furious films, will also be on board as a producer alongside Frank Marshall, Jeffrey Weiner and Ben Smith.

Jeremy took over from Matt Damon as the star of the action franchise in 2012, playing new lead character Aaron Cross in fourth film The Bourne Legacy, which also starred Rachel Weisz.

The 42-year-old actor, last seen in Hansel And Gretel: Witch Hunters, will next star in The Immigrant with Marion Cotillard and Joaquin Phoenix and David O Russell's American Hustle, alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper.

The Avengers star has been filming his portrayal of investigative journalist Gary Webb in crime drama Kill The Messenger, which also stars Michael Sheen and Ray Liotta.
