Boxer Joe is a knockout, swoons Strictly dance bombshell Kristina

Strictly Come Dancing bombshell Kristina Rihanoff has admitted her feelings for boxer lover Joe Calzaghe amid rumours of a blossoming romance.

But the Siberian stunner said she was wary of getting hurt again, following her split from fellow Strictly dancer Vincent Simone.

Kristina and Joe got voted off the dance show on Saturday night after their jive failed to impress the judges — and the voting public.

The couple — whose romance has been the talk of the series — was voted off by all four judges when they come up against actress Zoe Lucker and partner James Jordan in the dance-off.

Speaking to Hello! magazine Kristina said she did not know what the future held for herself and the Welsh champion boxer. But she admitted he was the type of man she would like to be involved with.

“We really, really like each other,” she said.

“But Joe has just got out of a five-year relationship. I think he needs to take time to figure out what the next thing is for him.

“He’s a very handsome man, but actually to me the way he is is even more attractive than the way he looks.

“To be honest, Joe is definitely the type of guy I would love to have a relationship with.”

Joe split with his model girlfriend Jo-Emma Larvin early this year, while Kristina also broke up with Vincent Simone. The Italian professional dancer had been seeing Londonderry air flight attendant Susan Duddy when he began a relationship with Kristina.

He left the Northern Irish girl for Kristina, but that relationship soon fizzled out too — before he and Susan made contact again after the birth of their son earlier this year.

Kristina told Hello! “I don’t want to go through something as awful again.”

After Kristina and 37-year-old Joe were voted off on Saturday night, he said taking part in Strictly Come Dancing had been a “fantastic” experience.

Kristina added: “Absolutely, it has been amazing to coach someone like him and I’ve been so lucky to have him as my partner.”
