British 'villains' team up for ad

British "baddies" Tom Hiddleston, Sir Ben Kingsley and Mark Strong have joined forces for a new Super Bowl car advert in the US.

The trio, best known for their villainous turns on the big screen, are seen in a swish helicopter and two F-Type Coupes in the newly released 60-second commercial for Jaguar, which will run during Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2.

The ad, titled Rendezvous - which launches Jaguar's British Villains campaign to promote its F-Type Coupe - opens with Ben, who played the Mandarin in Iron Man 3, saying: "Have you ever noticed that in Hollywood movies, all the villains are played by Brits?"

Mark - who has played baddies in Kick-Ass, Green Lantern and Sherlock Holmes - then says: "Maybe we just sound right," with Tom, better known as Thor villain Loki, sipping a cup of tea in a helicopter, adding: "We're more focused, more precise... And we're obsessed by power!"

Oscar-winning filmmaker Tom Hooper, who directed The King's Speech and Les Miserables, directed the commercial, with an original soundtrack composed and conducted by Alexandre Desplat.
