Brolin confirmed for Oldboy remake?
Josh Brolin is set to star in Spike Lee's Oldboy.
The Oscar-nominated actor will take the lead role in the Hollywood remake of the cult 2003 revenge thriller by Park Chan-Wook. He will play a man who spends 15 years in solitary confinement without any explanation after being kidnapped on his daughter's birthday, and upon his release, sets out to take revenge on the people who destroyed his life.
Production on the thriller, adapted by Mark Protosevich, is scheduled to begin in March 2012, Deadline said.
Josh, who was last seen in the Coen Brothers' True Grit, has just wrapped Men In Black III with Will Smith.
His upcoming screen outings include The Gangster Squad with Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and Nick Nolte, and Jason Reitman's Labor Day opposite Kate Winslet.
