Brosnan heads back to work on film

Pierce Brosnan has returned to work following his daughter's death

Pierce Brosnan has returned to work following the death of his daughter Charlotte.

The 60-year-old actor's daughter died of ovarian cancer on June 28.

Pierce was seen on set in Belgrade, Serbia, on July 2, shooting action scenes for the upcoming film November Man, reported People.

The former James Bond star reportedly left the set to be with his daughter during her final days. She was a year younger than her mother Cassandra, Pierce's first wife, was when she succumbed to the disease.

Pierce has paid tribute to his "darling daughter" in a statement, saying: "Charlotte fought her cancer with grace and humanity, courage and dignity. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our beautiful dear girl. We pray for her and that the cure for this wretched disease will be close at hand soon. We thank everyone for their heartfelt condolences."

The star's first wife Cassandra was 43 when she died of cancer in 1991. He adopted her children, including Charlotte, when he married her in 1980.

In November Man, which also stars Dominic Cooper, Pierce plays an ex-CIA agent who is brought in on a dangerous mission. He is pitted against his former pupil in a deadly game involving CIA and Russian officials.

The spy thriller film is based on the novel There Are No Spies by Bill Granger, and is set for release in 2014.
