Bruckheimer studying Miami crime

Jerry Bruckheimer has teased plot details for Bad Boys III

Jerry Bruckheimer has revealed he has been studying the Miami crime scene for the plot of Bad Boys III.

The producer revealed work was underway on a script for a third movie starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence as cop partners and best buddies Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, which will be set entirely in Miami.

Jerry told "We always focus on the place where the action's going to take place, which is Miami. We research it and figure out what's actually going on down in Miami with criminals and what they're doing. We bring in experts. And that's how the screenplays evolve."

The Hollywood producer has previously admitted it was tough organising the project around Will's busy schedule, but he is confident the sequel will go ahead.

He said: "Well, we're working on an outline right now. Hopefully we'll get a screenplay in the next three months. And that will become a movie I hope."

Jerry was talking to promote his new demonic police thriller, Deliver Us From Evil, starring Eric Bana, Edgar Ramirez, Joel McHale and Olivia Munn, which follows a detective battling crimes of manmade evil intertwined with the supernatural.

Asked what scares him, the producer said: "Just about anything scares me, you know? Failure scares me, you know? Loud noises scare me, you know? Anything that can, you know, injure you, scares me."
