Bryce Dallas Howard is reportedly following in her father's footsteps with plans to direct her first film.
The Spider Man 3 star and daughter of Oscar-winning director Ron Howard has apparently told gossip blog Showbiz411 that she will direct The Originals, a film she has co-written.
Bryce describes the movie, about a group of twentysomethings who reunite for a weekend in New York after hearing that one of their old teachers has mysteriously fallen into a coma, as "like a Breakfast Club for my generation."
She also revealed: "So far, I wrote a part for Zoe Saldana. But there are so many good choices out there."
The 30-year-old actress revealed a few years ago that she had started writing the film, which she penned with Dane Charbeneau, and was hoping her father would direct it.
But Ron is now busy developing The Dark Tower, an adaptation of Stephen King's comic and novel series for the small and big screen.
